Loving Los Angeles

Hello again! So, we have reached Week 11, and that naturally means another update. Monday through Thursday was more or less focused on school and homework. It was a week with at least one deadline per day, so I was quite busy. Additionally, I had also booked an extended weekend trip, so I had to work ahead. The only things that replaced school and homework were trips to the gym or a walk in the forest around campus:

Finally, it was Friday, and that meant vacation to Los Angeles! Hannah, one of the Danish exchange students, and I had booked a bus to Seattle, from where we would fly to Los Angeles and spend the next 3-4 days! It is cheap and easy to take the bus to Seattle, and flying from there was cheaper than from Vancouver. Additionally, we also had the opportunity to explore the city of Seattle for a few hours!

After a long day of traveling, we arrived at LAX 11:00 PM. We stayed with my mother’s old au pair family, where she was an au pair 40 years ago. We stayed at the parents’, Pam and Trey, house, whom I have never met, but they where so hospitable and welcoming. They have four boys, who all have their own families now. On Saturday, we went to Santa Monica, where we mest one of the sons. Afterwards, Hannah and I walked down to Monica Pier, and walked along the water to Venice. We headed to Abbot Kinney Boulevard, where we had lunch. Hereafter, we took a stroll at the Venice Canals. Then we walked down to Venice Beach to take a swim in the ocean and see the sunset at the skaterpark. It was truly beautiful. In the evening, we ate Italien dinner with Pam and Trey in a restaurant between Santa Monica and Venice.

On Sunday, we were driven and dropped off between the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area and Topanga State Park, where we were going to hike. After three hours of walking in the heat, we wanted to go down to Malibu Beach. No Uber’s wanted to pick us up in the mountains, so we had to hitch-hike down. A nice man picked us up in his Rolls Royce, and we came down to the beach and picked up some lunch on our way. In the evening, the family we stayed at had prepared dinner for us, and we where 15 people gathered together. I was such a nice time!

The rest of the Los Angeles adventure must remain a mystery for now. I have reached Monday in my storytelling, and will therefore continue in next week’s update!

I have been browsing online more than 2 hours today, yet I
never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me.
In my view, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content as you did, the internet will be
a lot more useful than ever before.

I really love your website.. Great colors & theme. Did you
build this amazing site yourself? Please reply back as I’m wanting to create my own site and would love to learn where you got
this from or just what the theme is named. Appreciate it!
